If you’re a fan of the British Broadcasting Network, then you’re gonna be in for a treat. BBC has just announced that they will be launching their iPlayer app on our shores soon. The iPlayer which has been available in the UK since 2007 started off as a desktop client and expanded onto mobile platforms over the years. The reason it took so long to make it to the states was due to licensing issues, similar to those that plague Hulu from working outside of America. Though no prices have been announced, BBC has mentioned that the subscription based, on-demand service will be launching for the iPad sometime next year. Other platforms should be arriving soon after that. Who’s excited about having BBC content on-demand?
