A Sony Ericsson representative might have prematurely let slip the news of a Froyo update for the Xperia X10. Someone sent an email to Sony Ericsson asking about the update, and a reply (loosely translated into English) from a representative said “SE X10 will get the Android 2.2 update during the second quarter of 2011. Work is still currently ongoing on version 2.2.” However, another Sony Ericsson has mentioned that he is investigating the email that was sent and that they haven’t made any announcements concerning Froyo on any of their current Android devices. But notice that he didn’t deny that the update will be arriving either. If it does arrive, at least it’s just one version behind Gingerbread, as opposed to the two versions behind they are now.
