Windows Phone 7: lackluster first month sales

Microsoft has been keeping pretty quiet about releasing sales figures for their latest mobile operating system, Windows Phone 7. But now, with some unofficial Facebook stats, we can get a rough estimate of how well it’s been doing- and it doesn’t look too great. It is assumed that everyone with a WP7 device uses Facebook since it comes installed with the phone. According to some stats released online, there have been 117,256 users of the app since its launch a month ago- which loosely translates to the amount of WP7 phones sold for the past month. The figure should be a bit higher, but it’s nowhere near Microsoft needs to be if they want to hi their achievement of 11 million WP7 devices sold in 2011.
