It seems in today’s world, launches of flawless products are pretty uncommon. Whether it is the latest smartphone or latest software, problems and bugs are bound to be found. In the case of Windows Phone 7, it has been reported that certain phones have a problem connecting to protected WiFi networks. First sighted with the Dell Venue Pro, the issue has now been discovered on HTC HD7 phones as well. Apparently the WP7 phones have no trouble connecting to unsecured WiFi networks, but when attempting to connect to a secure WiFi network, the phone displays a message saying “your phone couldn’t reach the WiFi network”. As of now, no official statements have been received from Dell or Microsoft, but with WiFi being such an important feature of the phone, we expect some developments soon. Stay tuned. Have you been experiencing such problems with your WP7 phone? We certainly didn’t experience those problems during our reviews of the HTC Surround and Samsung Focus.
