Google has been trying hard to bring the whole web experience to your television box but it seems to be an uphill struggle for the search engine giant. Viacom has just been added to the growing list of networks blocking access to Google TV. So far the only networks that allow streaming content to be viewable on Google TV are TBS and Time Warner. With popular networks such as Comedy Central, MTV, Disney and CBS already out of the picture, the choices for streaming content from your Google TV are slowly diminishing. Even though technically there isn’t any difference between streaming videos from your PC and your TV, networks seem to have a problem with it. With Google TV barely a few months old, it’s sad to see it struggling to stay afloat in a situation like this. I have a feeling that in the future, people will be connecting their televisions to their computers for the “web tv” experience instead. What are your thoughts about this issue?
