Verizon To Host 4G News Conference On Dec 1st

Verizon has confirmed that a news conference will be held on December 1st to detail the launch of its next-generation 4G LTE network. According to the statement, the network will be going live in 38 metropolitan areas, covering more than 110 million people. While it’s great news that the network will be going live before 2011, the one thing that takes a little shine off the whole deal is that customers will have to wait until early 2011 before LTE-compatible phones start to arrive, though data products such as USB data modems and Mi-Fi related devices should be available pretty soon.
