Verizon has just announced that they will be launching their 4G LTE service to users in the States this December. Verizon’s 4G LTE speeds will bring mobile data to a whole new level. With download speeds ranging from 5-12 Mbps and upload speeds from 2-5 Mbps, it offers a dramatic increase over what we’ve been getting from 3G. But with no 4G phones from Verizon yet, don’t expect to fly on their networks with their current phones. Hopefully this means we’ll be seeing some new phones from them at the same time as the launch. In a tight race to stay ahead of its competitors, you can bet that Verizon will attempt to cover as many cities as possible with their LTE service before the other carriers catch up.
