Turn your iPad into a violin with Magic Fiddle

Apple seems to be one company who really makes products for musicians. Ever since the launch of Garage Band on the Mac, Apple products have somehow been linked with people who have the gift of making pleasing sounds to the ear. Their iPhones have been turned into guitar effects pedals, and iPads have even been used as sheet music readers. Now there’s one more to add to the list. Smule, the creators of fun music apps such as I Am T-Pain, and Magic Piano, have released a new app that turns your iPad into a violin. Aptly named Magic Fiddle, the app allows you to pluck, bow, trill and play vibrato and glissandi from your iPad. No, you won’t need a real fiddle that would possibly scratch your iPad, and no you don’t need to know how to play a violin. The app has tutorials and lessons to get you on your way to becoming a master virtual violinist. And if playing songs for yourself or friends isn’t enough, you can share them with the world and listen to masterpieces by other magic fiddlers as well. Magic Fiddle will cost you $2.99 and is available now on the iTunes App Store. Not convinced if its worth a shot? Check out a video of Magic Fiddle in action after the break:
