TJ Maxx comes clean about their cheap iPads

Published

on

TJ Maxx, the discount store has been in the news recently for the outrageous price of their iPads. They’ve been selling their iPads for $399- a $100 less than what everyone else is selling them for. Because of this, there were rumors floating around questioning how legit the iPads were. TJ Maxx has cleared the air and they’ve announced that the iPads were the real deal. Even though TJ Maxx isn’t an authorized reseller of iPads, they managed to purchase them off an authorized retailer in order to sell them at their shops. The reason for the price cut was to create a buzz around their stores and to attract attention. Looks like the publicity stunt worked. The plan which cost around an estimated $8000 worked- people came in the stores to check out the iPads, blogs wrote about the offer- it was everything they wanted. Good one, TJ Maxx. Now let’s see if their increased presence can help them make back the money spent and earn them more revenue. What did you think of TJ Maxx’s publicity stunt?
