Thumb Keyboard for Android helps users with big thumbs type better

One of the main problems a lot of users face when first switching to touchscreen phones is the narrow onscreen keyboard in portrait mode- especially for those with big thumbs. Auto-correct has come a long way since it was first introduced, but sometimes it still isn’t helpful enough. Because of the problem users have with typing, many alternative keyboards have been introduced to the market. One of the newest ones to hit the scene is called Thumb Keyboard. This keyboard enlarges the size of the keys rearranges them in a position that is touted to be easier for a user to hold and type with two hands. The bigger buttons means a lesser chance of hitting the wrong keys for improved accuracy when typing. Although you sacrifice a lot of screen estate (the big layout covers about 2/3 of the screen), if it improves your typing it might be worth it. The keyboard is available from the Android Market or from xda-developers. As someone with big thumbs, this seems like good idea to me. Give it a shot and let us know what you think.
