The grandfather of all Android phones still holds a special place in the hearts of many people, and when T-Mobile announced that they would not be bringing the Froyo update to the G1, many hearts broke. Well, it seems that not all hope is lost. Some folks have managed to port the recently released Android 2.2 update for the myTouch 3G over to the G1. And lo and behold, the update worked without a hitch- every single function on the G1 works with the update. Once again, proving how stable Android can be.
