Sharp LYNX 3D Android smartphone demonstrated

Remember the 3D Android smartphones announced not too long ago? Well, there’s an informative video that’s been released online demonstrating the phone. These aren’t the GALAPAGOS phones previously mentioned but they are similar. Sharp’s LYNX 3D SH-03C features a 3D screen that doesn’t require any glasses to view (like the 3D screens in Nintendo’s upcoming 3DS that were designed by Sharp as well). The LYNX 3D SH-03C packs a 1GHz processor, 9.6 megapixel camera, a digital TV tuner, and a 3.8” touchscreen capable of producing 3D visuals without the need of special glasses. It sure looks like an impressive idea for games and videos, but we wonder if it will be utilized for regular functions such as texting and internet in the future. Though you can’t experience the 3D effect without holding the phone in your hands, you can watch a video of it after the break:
