Samsung and AT&T have officially announced the Galaxy Tab on AT&T’s network. True to what was leaked previously, the Galaxy Tab will cost $649.99 with no commitment. If users want data, they can purchase 250MB for $14.99/month and 2GB for $24.99/month. Customers also get free $50 Media Hub Movie credit with each purchase of the Tab. Seeing how customers are paying an extra $50 for the Tab compared to other carriers, I guess this is AT&T’s way of standing out from the crowd. With no subsidized plan to sell the tablet with, it looks like AT&T are making some bold moves, or they believe that most people would want to purchase a tablet without a contract. With the Android tablet going on sale (in stores and online) on November 21, we’ll just have to see how well AT&T fares against the competition. What do you think about them selling the tablet for extra and without a contract?
