Qualcomm announces new Snapdragon processors- chockfull of awesome

Qualcomm has just announced that their new dual-core MSM8960 system-on-a-chip will have five times the performance and consume 75% less power than the original Snapdragon when it makes its debut next year. In addition to the usual WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and FM radio modules, it will also pack a multi-mode LTE/3G modem so you can have fast data speeds in addition to a fast phone. Qualcomm also announced a new GPU, the Qualcomm Adreno 300 series- which is said to offer the gaming performance of an Xbox 360 or PS3. Now imagine games of that caliber on your phone! With Qualcomm entering the smartphone manufacturing business, 2011 is looking to be a great year ahead for smartphones and mobile gaming.
