If you’re living in the UK and you’re interested in getting your hands on one of Apple’s nifty tablets, there’s somewhat good news for you. Carriers Orange and T-Mobile will be offering the tablet on sale with a contract. For £199 ($309), you’ll be able to pick up the 16GB WiFi and 3G iPad. The catch is that it comes with a 2-year contract at £27($42) a month for 1GB of data. In the long run you’ll be paying much more than the cost of iPad itself, but initially you won’t have to part with so much money. What is your viewpoint on carrier subsidies? Do you think that it’s better to pay less up front and more in the long run or vice versa?
