Nokia C7 to have NFC capabilities in 2011

Remember the Near Field Communication chip that was discovered in the Nokia C7 not too long ago? Well, surprise, surprise- Nokia’s Head of PR for France, Xavier des Horts has announced that the NFC chip will be activated in a couple of months. Since the year is coming to an end, this probably means that it will be in early 2011. NFC allows devices (in this case the phone) to communicate with each other just by being in proximity. This technology can be used for purposes such as making payments with your phone, playing games, and turning your phone into a virtual ticket. We wonder what other phones with NFC will be hitting the market soon, and how manufacturers will utilize their capabilities. Would you find NFC useful in your daily life?
