New Android Market coming soon

Not long after Google sent out a notification about a huge Android Market maintenance coming this Thursday, Google silently updated the Market publishing interface with a variety of new options. The inclusion of these options seem to suggest that the Market will be supporting higher resolution graphics, which as we all know are more suitable for the bigger screens used on Android tablets. It seems like the updated Android Market will be launched together with Android Gingerbread. Now all we have to do is figure out when that is. The new Market options are: support for high resolution app icons, feature graphic (large screenshots of the app in action) and promotional video (link a YouTube video that promotes your app). Let’s hope that developers make full use of these options.
