NEC has announced that their LifeTouch tablet will be coming very soon to Japan. Their 7″ 800 x 480 tablet runs on Android 2.1, a direction pad for navigation and stylus as well as regular touch support. The tablet comes with an expandable SD card memory slot, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, a 3 megapixel camera, 3G radio, and infrared communication. NEC expects the tablet to be used for reading e-books, online shopping, entertainment, comics and more. It’s ability to support both a stylus and regular touches by hands make it very interesting. Though an outdated operating system and might be a deal breaker here. Unless NEC provide an update when the LifeTouch is launched. Chances are, we won’t see it reach our shores anyway, but it’s interesting to know that there are new tablets popping up everyday all over the world. We wonder what the next big breakthrough in the tablet world will be?
