LG’s entry level Android phone, the Optimus S will go on sale this Sunday by Sprint. The budget phone, targeted at users planning to make the switch from feature phone to smartphone is not expected to break the bank. The LG Optimus S can be yours for $50 (after a $100 mail-in rebate) with a 2-year Sprint contract. Running Android 2.2, the phone also features a 3.2″ touchscreen, a 3.2 megapixel camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, aGPS, a microSD card slot (supports up to 32GB) and mobile hotspot capability.
