Ever since the invention of the webcam, video calling has become such a norm, especially on the computer. It’s been around on phones for awhile but it never really took off until Apple’s FaceTime was introduced. Since then, everybody has been coming with alternative methods for video calling on handphones. Latest to join the party is Yahoo! with their updated messenger app for Android. When it first arrived on Android with WiFi calling, we knew that video call would soon make an appearance on it and looks like today is the day. In addition to video calling for Messenger, Yahoo! also updated their Mail app with new features- it now supports multiple accounts, in-app photo browsing, integration with Instant Messenger- you can even start a video call right from the mail app itself, as well as Contact Sync- your Yahoo! contacts can now be accessed from anywhere on the phone. If you’re a Yahoo! Mail or Instant Messenger user, today should be a good time to update your apps. Get them for free on the Android Market.
