iPad lookalike runs Windows 7
It seems like everybody is trying to create unholy unions between Apple devices and its competitor’s software. First we had the iPhone running Android, and now we have an “iPad” running Windows 7. The folks over at netbooknews.com recently spotted this gem at a Hong Kong Computer Market. With an exterior looking exactly like the iPad, what’s contained within is a whole different world. The iPad clone packs a 2GHz Intel Z550, 1GB DDR2 RAM, a 16GB SSD and an Intel US15W chipset that supports 2D, 3D and High Definition video on its 9.7″ touchscreen. It also contains 4 USB 2.0 ports, VGA, HDMI output, an audio jack, a memory card slot, WLAN, Bluetooth and a G-sensor, and let’s not forget the 0.3 megapixel camera for video calling. What device do you think will get a merge next? The iPhone and Symbian sounds like an interesting combination!
