GetJar, the popular app store that brings free apps to phones is now available on AT&T’s networks. The app will work on about 50 different AT&T phones but won’t work on their highest profile phone- the iPhone. Through GetJar, users can have access to more than 75,000 different apps for free on their phones, though not every phone will get to use every app on the store- GetJar serves a range of platforms including Java ME, BlackBerry, Symbian, Windows Mobile and Android. This deal with AT&T should bring them a whole load of new customers except the iPhone users. But with the App Store at over 300,000 apps, iPhone users have no need for an additional app store. How many of you use GetJar on a regular basis?
