Droid 2 Global emails start appearing

Verizon customers have been receiving emails about the Droid 2 Global but with no official word or press release from Verizon about the phone (Facebook announcements don’t count), it seems like they are launching the phone quietly. As to why they are doing so, the reason is unknown- maybe Verizon didn’t want to steal any thunder from the Droid Pro which is also a Droid phone with global roaming capabilities. Or they might be officially releasing it at a later date. Whatever their reason for not announcing it is, it could be something interesting. What do you think?
