Dell has recently announced that they will be shifting their employees off their BlackBerries onto their own smartphones. This switch affects around 25,000 Dell employees who are currently using a company-issued BlackBerry. This move will begin soon and will take some time to complete, but it will save the company money in the long run. It will also help Dell promote their own devices- with so many employees using Dell smartphones, friends and family are bound to notice. Dell’s BlackBerry users will be given the Dell Venue Pro to use. The Venue Pro is Dell’s latest phone which uses Microsoft Windows Phone 7 on T-Mobile’s network. Talk about a huge boost for another carrier. This move could spark carriers to strike deals with companies to use phones on their networks. Either way, it’s time for RIM to say goodbye to another chunk of BlackBerry users. Would you trade in your current BlackBerry for a Dell Venue Pro?
