Good news for anyone in China who plans to buy an iPad- according to the government, the tablet is considered a laptop computer. And by law, that means it should have a minimum 2-year warranty for its key components. With the rest of the world only getting a one-year warranty for the iPad, and an extra year of warranty costing $99- it looks like Apple is losing out on potential dollars made off warranty sales in the most populated country in the world.
