BlackBerry 8980 makes an appearance at the FCC

The BlackBerry 8980, which made its first appearance earlier this year, has finally surfaced at the FCC, and this time with some clear photographs to show what the device looks like from all angles. And from what we can see so far, the device sure is handsome. Looking like a cross between the Curve and the Bold, but judging by its model number, it’s probably going to be a sequel to the Curve 8900 (like the Bold’s 9700 sequel was the 9780). The 8980 packs a quad-band GSM/EDGE radio, 3.2 megapixel camera with flash, an optical trackpad, a physical QWERTY keyboard, and Bluetooth/WiFi capabilities. RIM has yet to officially announce the device, but with the device looking this complete, you can bet it’ll be soon. Who’s excited about the 8980?
