Bang & Olufsen to release BeoSound 8: the iPhone dock for audiophiles

Bang & Olufsen, big names in the high-end audio industry, will finally be dipping their toes into the iPhone pool. They have just announced their first iPhone dock- the BeoSound 8. Hitting the stores later this month, the iPhone dock has custom speakers and digital amplifiers that are designed to blow your mind. The BeoSound 8 is also compatible with the iPod and iPad. If you don’t have an iOS device, there is an aux input as well. If you don’t want to plug in your devices, you can even stream music over a WiFi network to the BeoSound 8. With the included remote control, you don’t even have to go near the device. But don’t expect B&O’s iPhone dock to come cheap- retailing at $999, most probably you won’t be able to buy it on a whim.
