Apple’s next iPhone might not have integrated SIM

Published

Apparently, plans for Apple’s next iPhone to have an integrated SIM card have been scrapped according to some reports online. The integrated SIM which was supposed to make life easier for customers purchasing an iPhone has been scrapped after carriers threatened not to subsidize iPhone sales if Apple utilized integrated SIM technology for their new phones. Integrated SIM cards will allow customers to easily switch carriers without obtaining a new SIM card- users won’t have to purchase a new phone or SIM card in order to do so- obviously something that carriers aren’t too pleased about. If Apple won’t be implementing integrated SIM cards in their next iPhone, it looks like the way we buy an iPhone isn’t going to change anytime soon. What do you think of integrated SIM cards?
