Samsung Solid Extreme Tough Phone

Samsung has announced the Solid Extreme candybar phone, and if the name didn’t already give it away, it’s a fairly rugged phone, designed to withstand the tough outdoor conditions. Rock climbers, folks who go canoeing, or love outdoor sports, this is probably the phone you’d want to bring with you, as it can withstand dust and water submersion up to 2 meters, not to mention the cold and wet weather too. The Samsung Solid Extreme features a flashlight torch, loud speaker, acoustic noise cancelation, rubber grips, 1.3-megapixel camera, MP3 player, Bluetooth 2.1, microSD card expansion and FM radio. The phone will also support quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) and will be available on Vodafone and O2 UK this month.
