No Skype For T-Mobile Germany

It looks like all is not well in Germany between T-Mobile and Skype. If you’ve just happily installed Skype on your iPhone and are on T-Mobile Germany, you might get into a wee bit of trouble, which could even result in having your Internet service discontinued. Deutsche Telekom AG spokesman Alexander von Schmettow says:

“iPhone contracts from the company’s T-Mobile unit have blocked voice-over-Internet programs, or VoIP, since 2007”

That sure doesn’t sound very friendly from a carrier, especially when you suddenly remember that you’re a cash paying customer. Do you think it’s fair to do so, or should they buck up and offer more options to subscribers?
