No Ovi Operator Billing In The US

Reports are coming in that Nokia’s Ovi Store in the U.S. will not support operator billing, unlike other countries. Nokia had previously said that nine countries would support the process, which allowed users to bill content downloaded directly to their cell phone bill, including Australia, Britain, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Russia, Singapore and Spain. If Nokia did allow operator billing in its Ovi Store, it might actually help in the adoption of its Ovi store, since users wouldn’t have to worry too much about payment. It looks like we’ll have to sit back and see what the outcome of this is.
