New BlackBerry Storm Is Official

It looks like the rumor of a new BlackBerry Storm has become reality, and that’s certainly good news for the BlackBerry faithful. A BlackBerry spokesperson over in the Netherlands, Alain Segon de Banchet, has confirmed that the device exists. Of course, the device pictured here is a mock device which was described in a RIM patent application a while back. The BlackBerry Storm 2 will be available in the market later this year or early 2010 and will not be a carrier exclusive in the Netherlands. More good news comes in the form that it will supposedly solve the weaknesses of the original Storm, with regards to typing. Does this mean that we’ll be getting some sort of physical keyboard with the Storm in the future?
