Apple Sued Over Multi Touch?

It looks like Apple is running into a little bit of trouble with Elan Microelectronics over its multi-touch feature. Apparently Elan is complaining that Apple has infringed on 2 of its patents and an Apple spokesperson has said that they will not be commenting on the Elan suit. Though it’s not clear what the outcome of this is just yet, it’s interesting to see Apple get a dose of its own medicine, especially after rumors going around that Apple would be heckling Palm over the inclusion of multi-touch on its Palm Pre. Sometimes patent law is just silly, essential, but still silly.
