Windows Marketplace For Mobile Detailed

on

Some official details on Microsoft’s Windows Marketplace (WMM) for Mobile have surfaced. It’s no surprise to see that it’s actually quite similar to Apple’s App Store. Microsoft will give developers 70 percent of the profit from app sales and will allow them to choose their own prices. Developers will have to fork out $99 annually to submit their applications to the Windows Marketplace. The first year’s payment will include the cost of submitting up to 5 applications to WMM, and it will be an additional $99 per program after that. Students have it a little easier as they’re allowed to submit applications for free through the Microsoft DreamSpark program.
