Port Your Number To Google Voice

Folks who are excited over the news that GrandCentral will be becoming Google Voice will be in for some additional good news. It seems that Google is looking for ways to help users adopt the system, and the help page even has a very helpful statement which reads:

Although you can’t currently port your existing number to Google Voice, we hope to offer this option in the near future. Please tell us if this is a feature you’d like to see in Google Voice.

This would certainly be a great option for users who are looking to swap to Google Voice but don’t want to lose their existing number. Is this the major stumbling block for you before you are willing adopt Google Voice?
