Palm Smartphones Delayed

Reports online indicate that shipments of two of Palm’s smartphones will be delayed due to Compal having to wait for Qualcomm’s new chipset solutions, which will supposedly enable better performance. If you’re starting to sweat and worry that you’re going to have to wait even longer for the Palm Pre, you can rest easy, as these phones that are delayed are said to be Windows Mobile phones, and not webOS devices. Let’s also not forget that the Pre is manufactured by Chi Mei (and not Compal). Any delay isn’t desirable, but fortunately it isn’t the Palm Pre, right?
