iPhone Catches Fire While Charging?

It’s certainly not going to amuse Apple too much, but two reports have surfaced that might indicate that there is a risk of the iPhone possibly catching fire. An Italian blogger was charging his iPhone 3G, and after 3 hours, it sparked at caught fire at the base. A little research indicated that there was a Swedish handset doing the same thing back in 2008. This might actually get some people to start questioning how safe these devices are when they leave their handphones around to charge, it’s rather scary to think that they might catch fire suddenly.
