HTC 2008 Results

HTC has released some of its sales figures, and they’re not too bad, especially after you take into account that 2008 was the start of the financial crisis that we’re in. It announced about $4.5 billion in revenue (which is up 29%) and $931 million of profit. HTC had a sale of about 12.03 million devices, with 70% of them being 3G. Other figures implied that HTC shipped more than 50% of the 20 million Windows Mobile devices that were sold last year, which is certainly impressive. HTC’s shares, probably in response to the good news, are up 10% from February 2009.
