Fast Charging Battery In A Few Years

Published

on

Battery technology has been rather frustrating over the last few years. We’ve seen cooler and cooler mobile phones that do more things, but it seems that battery life is something that handphone manufacturers haven’t improved on, with the possible exception of Philips’ line of Xenium phones. Now folks over at MIT are working on a lithium-ion battery that can be recharged within seconds. This sure is a huge step forward, especially if you compare it to the few hours that are needed to charge our current batteries to their full level. These new batteries could be smaller and lighter than the standard type, which could indicate that it might be a big hit for mobile phones.
