BlackBerry App World Pricing Revealed

99 cent apps? That might be commonplace in Apple’s App Store, but it seems that the price point is not something that RIM plans to emulate Apple on. Instead, RIM has decided that if you’re not willing to offer your app for free on its App World, the minimum that you’ll have to price it is $2.99. This probably indicates that RIM wants things to be a little more serious and don’t want too many fart/beer/joke apps running around its store (world?) If that wasn’t bad news enough for end users, the FAQ also states that users will not be allowed to store or run these applications from an SD card, which means that you’ll have to stuff all those applications that are downloaded into your BlackBerry’s internal memory. Are you still excited about the App World? It’s still better than nothing, right?
