Apple In Hot Soup Over iPhone ebook Reader
Apple’s iPhone might be enjoying all the attention that it’s getting, but it also seems that it has attracted some attention from jealous parties. AppleInsider is reporting that a Swiss communications firm, Monec Holding Ltd has filed a lawsuit against Apple, accusing them of patent infringement, unfair trade practices, monopolization, and tortious interference for allegedly treading on its January 2002 patent No. 6,335,678 titled “Electronic device, preferably an electronic book.” To be honest, there doesn’t seem too much wrong (from an end user’s point of view) as promoting the iPhone as an eBook reader, but if you absolutely must find fault with the iPhone, this is probably one of the ways to do it.
