Video Recording Coming To Your iPhone?
The iPhone is one popular mobile phone, there’s no denying that. But just because it’s popular doesn’t mean that it doesn’t have its flaws. Aside from the lack of copy and paste functionality, which is probably the first thing that comes to mind, it also doesn’t support video recording, which is a feature which is commonly present on even low-end phones that are in the market today. A patent documentation from Apple might give iPhone users some hope that there will be video recording capabilities in the future, though, as it reads:
The device supports a variety of applications, such as one or more of the following: a telephone application, a video conferencing application, an e-mail application, an instant messaging application, a blogging application, a photo management application, a digital camera application, a digital video camera application, a Web browsing application, a digital music player application, and/or a digital video player application.
Since it mentions “a digital video camera application”, that probably means that the iPhone can function as a video camera. The bad news is that Apple never mentioned that we’ll be getting video recording as an added feature in a firmware update anytime soon (or ever).
