Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 Video Recording Improved

Sony Ericsson’s Xperia X1 is perfectly capable of recording VGA quality video at 30fps, but unfortunately for us, the US version of it, the X1a is crippled and can only do 10fps VGA video. The reason behind this is supposedly a Qualcomm patent issue, which we’re fairly sure end users couldn’t care less about. The important thing is to get your device functioning to its full capabilities, right? Well, fortunately for us, users have found out that you can flash the X1a with a European ROM and restore the video recording capabilities of the device. Of course, it’s risky business; as you run the risk of turning your phone into an $800 paperweight, so always remember to proceed with caution if you decide to try this.
