Qualcomm Developing Femtocell Chipsets

Qualcomm has announced that it’s busy developing femtocell chipsets which will support HSPA and EV-DO. These new chipsets will support baseband support, network listen and RF capabilities. The chipsets, dubbed Femtocell Station Modem chipsets, will also support a new technology which is designed to minimize the interference between femtocells and other cell networks. These new chipsets are planned to be available for sampling by 2010.
