Palm Pre Touchstone Special Back Cover

When talking about the Palm Pre, you invariably think about its cool charging/docking station, which is the Touchstone. Here’s something weird about it that has just come up. Apparently in order for users to be able to use the Palm Pre and the Touchstone together, the back cover of the Palm Pre will have to be replaced. This means swapping out the standard glossy back cover for a matte cover which will be included with the Touchstone. If it’s included with your purchase of the charger it doesn’t sound so bad, though it seems like a rather unnecessary extra step by Palm.
