LG Wristwatch Phone To Cost A Grand?

We’ve all heard (or read) about LG’s new GD910 wristwatch cell phone, which was announced back at Mobile World Congress 2009. European carrier Orange has already confirmed that it will be the first operator in Europe to offer the device, though there has been no official word on pricing yet, be it from Orange or LG. While there isn’t any official news just yet, rumors are now circulating on the Internet that the GD910 will be going for 1,000 GBP ($1,500), which certainly a little more than you would spend for lunch. Would you shell out such a huge amount for a gimmicky phone?
