Iris From Torch Mobile Scores In Acid 3

How well does your browser do on the Acid 3 web standards test? Chances are, not too good. Torch Mobile has a rather unpopular Iris browser, but while the browser isn’t as enticing as Opera Mini, it scores an insane 97/100 in the Acid 3 test using the webkit browser engine, which is certainly a lot higher than the 72/100 that the iPhone’s Safari achieves. If Torch Mobile were to pretty up the interface a bit, we might have another serious contender in the mobile browser scene. Of course, we’ll have to remember that the pre-alpha release of Fennec (Firefox Mobile) has been announced.
