Homemade Mobile Charger

What do you do if you’re not fond of your mobile phone’s charger? Well, you make one yourself of course! That’s what a woman over in Eastern Uganda did. She had a rather bad experience with a local mobile phone charger, and instead of getting another one, she decided to come up with her own solution. She used your normal size D batteries and wrapped five of them together, after which she took the plug from the phone charger and attached the bare wires to the positive and negative terminals of the batteries. How’s that for resourcefulness?
