WinMob Devices Outsell The iPhone?

It might not be from a market research firm, but it’s hard to just ignore figures being bandied about by Steve Ballmer, especially when he says that 5 million Windows Mobile units were sold In Q4 of 2009, which is quite a bit more than the 4.4 million iPhones that were announced by Apple. Will the upcoming figures tip in the iPhone’s favor? Or will Windows Mobile continue to dominate? Of course, the iPhone is only one phone, unlike the tons of Windows Mobile phones out there, but we’re fairly sure Steve Ballmer doesn’t mind.
