Telstra To Get HTC Touch HD

Folks living in Australia will be happy to hear that the HTC Touch HD will be launched exclusively on Telstra until the 30th of April. The phone will be running on the NextG 850 MHz band, as the device has been modified to fit their services, such as watching Foxtel movies over NextG, and providing easy access to specified video channels. The Touch HD will also support turn-by-turn navigation for a subscription of $15 a month, or on a pay-per-use basis. The bad news is that the phone won’t come cheap, as it will be going for 1,499 Aussie dollars, which is about US $1,000. If you’re willing to tie yourself to a $150/month 2-year contract, you’ll be able to pick up the phone for $62.45 per month.
